Welcome to gladeshealthcare.org. We invite you to learn more about why community, business and philanthropic leaders have come together to support the Campaign for the Hospital and the great potential our project has to advance healthcare and the Glades region. Together, with our Campaign Leadership Team, we are well on our way to cultivating a healthy community.
Our Goal
Glades Healthcare Foundation was created to advance access to quality healthcare in western Palm Beach County. Our initial focus is to lead a fund raising campaign for a new 70-bed, $73 million regional hospital in the Glades by inviting individual donors and organizations to contribute to the project. Thanks to a commitment of $53 million from the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, and the generosity of community members, we’re off to a healthy start. Learn more.
Why it Matters
The new regional hospital in the Glades is about so much more than bricks and mortar. The success of this campaign has the potential to transform healthcare for over 50,000 people and to create a necessary part of the infrastructure in the western communities as plans for economic and residential development begin to stimulate the region’s growth. How Your Support Will Make a Difference
The caring, compassionate staff at Glades General Hospital are challenged daily by space and equipment constraints in a facility built in the 1940s that is outdated, inefficient and poorly configured to support the delivery of modern healthcare services. The new regional hospital will create a healthcare delivery system for better patient care, expanded services and attracting physicians and healthcare workers. Learn more.
